Journal 2

If I had to conclude this month in one sentence, I would say it was full of happiness. This was because I participated in some interesting activities, met some old friends, and found some meaning in life.

On October 25th, we appreciated a Taiko drum performance and visited a market, setting up along Phoenix Avenue. It was packed with people and very crowded. However, we enjoyed a fantastic performance and had a spring roll ice cream with just the right taste and texture. Although many food items at the market were priced higher than outside, it was a rare and enjoyable experience to wander around a market on campus.

The campus market
for the university's anniversary celebration

On the university anniversary day, Ariel and I went early to lie on the grass along Phoenix Avenue, watching the evening sunset and the vast sky. Everything felt so peaceful and beautiful. At that time, we were looking forward to the fireworks that night. 😍😍

The annual grand fireworks event at the school arrived, and I loved the feeling of gathering with a crowd to watch the display. Everyone was enjoying the same beautiful scene, feeling touched together by its magnificence. This shared experience is precious and unique.

Dressing up with friends, heading out to wander around, and snapping selfies—these are truly the big joys in life.

I would like to share some delicious food I have recently enjoyed. ❤️

Curry rice🍛
Scrambled eggs with green onions

When I need to quickly make a meal, this combination is my favorite. I buy ready-made curry instant packs and pair them with scrambled eggs, or sometimes a cheesy omelet. Eating them together is really delicious and These instant packs are so convenient!

Long time ago, I used to have this meal with my high school friends. That experience was awful. We had already lined up for half an hour, but when we finally sat down to eat, the meal didn’t meet our expectations. However, I gave it another try last week. Surprisingly, the chicken rice had a rich flavor and went wonderfully with the soft-fried egg. I think I’ve changed my mind this time.

The gua bao food truck

Although I’ve forgotten the name of this Gua Bao food truck, the salty pork Gua Bao they sell is really delicious. The savory pork paired with peanut powder and fresh lettuce creates a perfectly balanced flavor. It’s refreshing, not greasy, and filling—making it a great choice for an afternoon snack.

After moving out of the dorm, my roommates and I finally gathered together after a long time. Since such an opportunity was rare, I really cherished it. Being with them is always so relaxed and comfortable. 🥰

We also had dinner at the famous Longzuo Teppanyaki. The steak and vegetables were cooked perfectly. Overall, it’s a place that made you want to visit again.

Sometimes, I’m really grateful for having such kind roommates, who made my dorm life full of beautiful memories. 😊
